Savoring the Season: How New York Jars the Taste of Fall (Applesauce)
June 4, 2026
Join us as we learn all about the great New York apple! As the official fruit of New York State, the apple holds a special place in our hearts and on our tables. This six-part series, featuring three events this spring and three more this fall, will explore every step of the apple’s journey from orchard to plate. Each virtual event is a live, 45-minute experience featuring a different New York apple producer, packer, shipper or processor.
In Part 3: “Savoring the Season: How New York Jars the Taste of Fall,” we will chew a little further into our apple journey by traveling to Cahoon Farms in Wolcott, NY. Cahoon Farms has been providing fresh and frozen NY apple slices to bakeries across the country for years, and now they have branched out into applesauce production as well. In this tour we’ll learn more about how apples make their way into some of our favorite foods.
Can’t join us live? No problem! – You can still register and receive a link to the recording 24 hours after the event.
