Join us as we learn all about the great New York apple! As the official fruit of New York State, the apple holds a special place in our hearts and on our tables. This six-part series, featuring three events this spring and three more this fall, will explore every step of the apple’s journey from orchard to plate. Each virtual event is a live, 45-minute experience featuring a different New York apple producer, packer, shipper or processor.

In Part 2: “Building a Better Bushel: The Engineering Behind an Orchard,” we will dig into apple tree cultivation with Full Circus Farm in Pine Plains, NY. Located in the Hudson Valley, Full Circus is a family owned, horse-powered fruit and apple tree nursery. In this tour, we’ll learn all about growing apple trees, including a live grafting demonstration.

Ten lucky classrooms attending LIVE will also be chosen randomly to receive a copy of the book Apples for All: A Story About Grafting by Mary Peterson.

Can’t join us live? No problem! – You can still register and receive a link to the recording 24 hours after the event.
