Did you know that cows need a variety of nutrients to grow healthy and strong, just like humans? Come join us as we learn how many stomachs a cow has and how their ruminant digestive system works.

Our journey will start with learning about the career of a dairy nutritionist. Then, we will find out how the nutritionist and farmer team up to feed the cows the best diet for their growth and development.

This 45-minute field trip is directly linked to core curriculum for 6th– 12th-grade students. Links to specific classroom resources/lessons are included.
