Take your middle and high school science class out on the water! This 45-minute Feed the World virtual experience takes students to Stone Lab on South Bass Island to connect with OSU experts about their water quality research.
Students will:
- Get a tour of Stone Lab
- Learn from scientists about water quality in Ohio and the Great Lakes
- Discuss research on harmful algal blooms (HABs)
- Understand how farmers are improving precision application methods to improve Lake Erie’s water quality
- See how these practices have impacted Lake Erie’s fish populations and more!
This LIVE Virtual Farm Trip is hosted by Feed the World, the educational initiative of the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association, in cooperation with educationprojects.org, a team of educators that writes curriculum and manages education programs connecting the workplace to the classroom.
